Was recommened to try welshwax by a fellow chippy as we were talking about the best way to protect the wooden handles of our chissels and also chopping boards etc. I have tried most “protectors” avaiable but am so glad I have welshwax now as it just seems to apply easily , gives enough tak if the wood is wet so it wont slip , but best of all its made in Wales, so no waiting for the previous product I use to use to arrive from overseas. I have used it for several months and honestly, I cant fault it, does what it says on the tin and then some!!!
Finally, After a recommendation, I purchased some welshwax to protect my Chef knives as I had tried several other “wax” protectors even one from America and some were to hard to apply or did not last the distance. I found welshwax to go on easly and maintain the protection needed and a several big positives were it’s made in Wales and also all natural and food safe!!
My Hubby is into woodwork and Smoking on the BBQ and has always moaned about finding something to protect his tools and axes from the elements. He is fussy by the way and the amount of different products we receive from the mailman, he could open his own shop. So I was talking to a friend of mine and they raved about welshwax, so I thought Why not?…. Lets just say after a month of Hubby using it, I am well in with the brownie points. He cant rave about it enough and said I can bin all the others as its now his go to product to protect his tools and axes! I also have used it to protect our serving wood boards and island chopping block and its easy to use and really brings out the grain of the wood and I don’t have to worry about nasty chemicals etc as its all natural! I have some cherished knives and I have been looking for a good, easy to apply wax for my knives and found Welsh Wax, I bought the bundle as I have several chopping boards and it even works brilliantly on my leather work boots!

I bought an American Knife Wax to use, which was more expensive by the time it arrived, but I was recommended to try WelshWax, What can I say?, It is now my go to wax for my knives, metal tools and Axes. Easy to apply, great product, All Natural and also as a bonus, its made in the UK!

Of course you can, the Natural Protection for Wood – Metal – Leather forms a thin wax barrier to protect your knives from the elements. BUT please remember that after cleaning your knives and using them over and over, the coating will have to be reapllied as it wears out.
No tools needed, just a soft cloth to apply and a lint free one to buff gently afterwards if needed.

Apply a small amount to warm wood, metal or leather.
Natural Protection & Conditioning for Wood as follows:
Apply a small amount to your wood surface & buff with a soft Lint free cloth afterwards
The Natural Protection for Wood – Metal & Leather Wax is stiffer by touch and also forms a natural protection barrier when dry. (That’s why we advise to make sure the Wood, Metal or Leather is warm before applying it)
The Natural Protection & Conditioning for Wood is softer and easier to apply.
It has different natural oils and less wax in it to allow for it to penetrate the surface if porous and it then protects and conditions it at the same time (That’s why we advise to give whatever surface you have applied it to a light buff with a lint free cloth afterwards)
